Technical Artist

We’re looking for highly experienced, versatile and passionate Technical Artists to solve problems, improve our tools and pipelines, and apply ingenuity to projects! Applicants must demonstrate a specialized capability as well as general versatility in all aspects of a CG pipeline. We look for individuals that proactively solve issues and have the flexibility and foresight to research, design and implement cutting-edge tools before artists require them. Technical Artists should be ready to jump into everyday production and force-multiply our art and technology capabilities.

  • Build professional, A+ prototypes in support of the lab's broader VR software goals
  • Define, research, write and maintain tools for project and VR lab-wide needs

Requirements:

  • Five or more years of professional experience in animation, games or CG industry
  • Senior level contribution on a previously shipped linear medium or game product

Maker / Hardware Hacker / Designer

We are looking for a maker to help us create products that take VR from virtual to reality. As our resident maker, you'll bring together art, form and functionality for commercial purposes. You'll be working at the cutting edge of VR, design and engineering to help us manufacture products for small-scale batch production and bespoke industries. 

Responsibilities:

VR Community Manager

We are seeking a Community Development Manager to join Transist VR Lab in the beautiful campus of Gongyi Xintiandi! The Community Development Manager will be in charge of proactive communication between the Transist VR Lab and the boarder online and offline VR community in China and worldwide.

This person will need to have strong writing and speaking skills in both Chinese and English and an interest in understanding the VR community culture and behavior in China and throughout the world. In addition to communication related skills, the ideal candidates should have in-depth experience in all things VR. You will be our eyes and ears for all things VR in China and internationally so a strong passion for VR is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for communication via blog / forum in official community websites on behalf of the the Transist VR Lab.
  • Support the Transist VR Lab and its related communications and promotions.
  • Localize, generate, and publish high-quality editorial content for the Transist VR Lab.
  • Ensure effective communication between the Lab and VR communities.
  • Responsible for VR community monitoring include official community sites, fansites and other online community sites.
  • Plan and execute community events and promotions.

Duties

  • You are the soul of the lab, without you, we can't function on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate the lab schedule, including ensuring that development team environments are prepared in advance.
  • Manage lab hardware, including inventory and tracking.
  • Basic lab record-keeping, filing and general administrative duties.
